- Salt for gel viscosity control; used as precipitant in soaps
- Isopropyl Myristate
- Light synthetic ester, fast-drying and non-greasy; high comedogenic risk, limit in acne-prone skin
- Coco-Caprylate/Caprate
- Lightweight mid-chain ester, quick spreading, suitable for oily skin, non-comedogenic.
- Cetyl Ethylhexanoate
- Synthetic oil providing slip; large molecule, low penetration, non-comedogenic, suitable for dry or rough skin.
- Olea Europaea Fruit Oil
- Olive oil, rich in squalene and oleic acid; moderate comedogenicity, caution for oily skin.
- Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil
- Aromatic essential oil; contains allergens (citronellol, limonene), requires labeling.
- Ricinus Communis Seed Oil
- Castor oil for heavy moisturization and film formation; high viscosity, high levels may be comedogenic, blend with other oils.
