- Hamamelis water; tannins/flavonoids for astringent and soothing; low conc, generally well-tolerated
- Allantoin
- Skin soother at 0.5-2%; promotes cell regeneration
- Panthenol
- Panthenol (vitamin B5) at 1–5%; moisturizing and reparative, supports barrier recovery
- Niacinamide
- Niacinamide at 2–5%; improves texture, controls oil, brightens; high levels may cause sensitivity
- Chamomilla Recutita Extract
- Chamomile, classic soothing/anti-inflammatory; potential allergen for some, contains flavonoids.
- Sodium PCA
- Sodium PCA, NMF component, 1-10% humectant; salty/tacky at high levels.
- Glycerin
- Workhorse humectant at 3–10%; tacky at high levels, pair with occlusives
- Pantolactone
- Pantolactone, humectant; hydrolyzes to release panthenol, improves skin hydration, low level use, high safety
- Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate
- Mild anionic surfactant, boosts foam/cleaning; low irritancy, common in wash formulations

- Buffer and chelator at 0.1–2%; adjusts pH, may irritate sensitive skin at low pH
