Fatty acid emulsifier, white waxy solid; adds slip feel

Myristic Acid

Saturated fatty acid, saponification feedstock; insoluble alone, pairs with stearic acid.

Potassium Hydroxide

Strong alkali pH adjuster, trace usage (<0.1%); corrosive, must be neutralized.

Lauric Acid

Lauric acid for cleansing and emulsification; high comedogenic rating, recommend limiting to 1-2% or combining with other acids.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Cocamidopropyl betaine; zwitterionic co-surfactant reducing irritation and boosting foam, common in mild cleansers.

Enteromorpha Compressa Extract

Compressed Ulva extract, skin protector; watch microbe/heavy-metal QC on algal extracts.

1,2-Hexanediol

Polyol solvent and preservative booster at 1–5%; light feel, can replace some traditional preservatives

Disodium EDTA

Chelating agent at 0.05–0.5%; sequesters metal ions for stability, boosts preservative efficacy

Silica powder at 1–10%; absorbs oil, thickens, provides matte finish, for oil-control products

Citrus Paradisi Fruit Extract

Grapefruit extract; antioxidant, contains furanocoumarins (photosensitizing), use low concentration, avoid sun.

Saponaria Officinalis Leaf/Root Extract

Saponaria extract with natural saponins for mild cleansing; may cause mild foaming.

Maris Aqua

Seawater solvent & humectant; mineral-rich, caution on sensitive skin

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Light occlusive and solvent at 1–10%; non-greasy feel, suitable for oily and combination skin

Hydrogenated Lecithin

Emulsifier from lecithin; stable, used in powder emulsions
