Locust bean gum thickener/emulsifier; viscous at high levels, check batch consistency.

Chondrus Crispus Powder

Seaweed powder for gentle physical exfoliation; absorbs water; for scrubs and care, no chemical irritation.

Cellulose Gum

Cellulose gum, water-soluble thickener/stabilizer; may destabilize with cationics, hydrate first.

PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

Non-ionic emulsifier and solubilizer at 1–5%; contains PEG, check acid compatibility and sensitive skin irritation

Ethylhexylglycerin

Mild conditioner and preservative booster at 0.5–1%; reduces preservative load, smooth feel

Panthenol

Panthenol (vitamin B5) at 1–5%; moisturizing and reparative, supports barrier recovery

Dextrin

Polymer thickener and binder from starch fermentation; biodegradable, hygroscopic, may affect powder flow

Raspberry Ketone

Natural raspberry ketone; acts as fragrance and skin conditioning agent; often added in trace amounts for specific claims.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate

Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate for moisturizing/soothing; inhibits 5-LOX, water-soluble, for sensitive skin.

Lactic Acid

AHA pH adjuster at 0.5-5%; exfoliation/humectancy, mild at low conc., irritating at high, avoid conflict with alkaline preservatives.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Potent humectant at 0.1–2%; different MW for penetration depth, high levels may draw moisture

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid for exfoliation; requires buffering at concentrations >10%, avoid combination with other acids.

Phenoxyethanol

Broad-spectrum preservative at ≤1%; may irritate sensitive eye areas, often paired with ethylhexylglycerin

Lavandula Angustifolia Extract

Lavender extract; regulating and calming. Contains linalool and other allergens, use with caution for sensitive skin.

Monarda Didyma Leaf Extract

Bee balm leaf extract with menthol; cooling effect, high concentration may irritate sensitive skin

Mentha Piperita Leaf Extract

Mint extract for cooling sensation; contains menthol, mild irritation potential.

Freesia Refracta Extract
