- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter
- Shea butter for occlusive moisturizing; high melt point, rich texture, caution for oily skin.
- Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil
- Macadamia oil, rich in palmitoleic, good penetration; light feel; non-comedogenic.
- Coco-Caprylate
- Coconut/caprylate ester for light emollient finish; balance with humectants.
- Glyceryl Citrate/Lactate/Linoleate/Oleate
- Multi-glyceride emulsifier system for gentle emulsification; unsaturated esters prone to oxidation
- Glycerin
- Workhorse humectant at 3–10%; tacky at high levels, pair with occlusives
- Lecithin
- Phospholipid emulsifier at 1-5%; biocompatible, moisturizing/antioxidant, prone to oxidation (add TBHQ), mild for sensitive skin.
