Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil

Sunflower seed oil for emollient/occlusive; high linoleic acid, low comedogenicity.

Glycine Soja Oil

Soybean oil emollient; prone to oxidation, needs antioxidants; suitable for dry skin

Isostearyl Isostearate

Dry emollient providing non-greasy feel; low comedogenic risk, suitable for combination skin.

Bisabolol

Soothing and anti-inflammatory agent, 0.01–0.1%; low irritation, good for sensitive skin.

Octyldodecyl Pca

Soft, breathable amino acid ester emollient; 5–10%, low comedogenic

Retinyl Palmitate

Vitamin A ester for skin conditioning; light-sensitive, requires protection, avoid in pregnancy.

Tocopheryl Acetate

Vitamin E derivative antioxidant at 0.1–1%; more stable than tocopherol, store protected from light

Linoleic Acid

Essential fatty acid for barrier repair and hydration; oxidizes easily, high levels may be comedogenic

Linolenic Acid

Omega-6 fatty acid for barrier repair; prone to oxidation, needs antioxidants and low light exposure

Tocopherol

Natural antioxidant (vitamin E) at 0.1–1%; prone to oxidation, store protected from light

Sodium PCA

Sodium PCA, NMF component, 1-10% humectant; salty/tacky at high levels.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Potent humectant at 0.1–2%; different MW for penetration depth, high levels may draw moisture

Lactic Acid

AHA pH adjuster at 0.5-5%; exfoliation/humectancy, mild at low conc., irritating at high, avoid conflict with alkaline preservatives.

Stearalkonium Hectorite

Inorganic clay gellant with silky feel; must disperse well, high local dose can irritate.

Propylene Carbonate

Inert solvent and viscosity modifier; often used as penetration enhancer, mild at low levels
