- Non-ionic emulsifier/solubilizer, C12-20 PEG-8 esters; mild but PEG stability needs watch.
- Mineral Oil
- Occlusive emollient preventing water loss; must use high-purity medical grade to avoid impurities.
- Petrolatum
- Mineral oil occlusive and antistatic; requires full refining history to ensure absence of potential carcinogens.
- Propylene Glycol
- Polyol humectant at 3-10%; hygroscopic, slight tackiness, mild irritation at high conc., verify preservative efficacy, no allergen.
- Isopropyl Myristate
- Light synthetic ester, fast-drying and non-greasy; high comedogenic risk, limit in acne-prone skin
