- Crosslinked silicone thickener at 0.5-2%; silky/matte feel, non-comedogenic, partial oil phase incompatibility, use co-solvent/pre-emulsification.
- Silica
- Silica powder at 1–10%; absorbs oil, thickens, provides matte finish, for oil-control products
- Talc
- Inorganic mineral powder for texture and oil absorption; must be asbestos-free; fineness affects skin feel and safety, avoid inhalation.
- Synthetic Fluorphlogopite
- Mica filler at 1-10%; luster/thickening, inert, verify mineral purity, no public comedogenic data.
- Phenoxyethanol
- Broad-spectrum preservative at ≤1%; may irritate sensitive eye areas, often paired with ethylhexylglycerin
- Caprylyl Glycol
- Polyol conditioner and preservative booster at 0.5–3%; emollient feel, often paired with 1,2-hexanediol
- Dimethicone
- Silicone occlusive at 1–5%; provides smooth feel, non-penetrating, suitable for sensitive skin
- Red Iron Oxide
- Iron oxide red, mineral pigment for color; inert, no significant irritation or sensitization.
